Willie Carrington began the search practice in 1979 and was joined by Marian H. Carrington in 1991 as a Principal and Co-Owner. Since then, they have together guided CCL through challenging economic periods to remain one of the leading African-American owned executive search firms in the country. Headquartered in Chicago, the firm’s impressive national client list consists primarily of Fortune 500 companies and nationally recognized not-for-profits.

Willie E. Carrington
Willie E. CarringtonPrincipal and Founder
Willie E. Carrington is Principal and Founder of Carrington & Carrington, Ltd. (CCL), an executive search practice, founded in 1979. Since then, he continues to play a significant role in increasing the representation of diverse professionals in major companies including Banking, Finance, Manufacturing, and Utilities. Prior to this, Willie was Executive Director of Inroads/Chicago and an Auditor for the former CPA firm Arthur Andersen & Co. Willie has made substantial contributions to the community through his roles as a Founding Member of the Chicagoland Chapter of the National Association of Human Resources and as a Board member and Trailblazer for the National Association of Black Accountants. His other community affiliations include being a Member of the Rainbow Push Coalition’s Board of Directors, Chicago United, and the Union League Club of Chicago. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois in Chicago.
Marian H. Carrington

Marian H. Carrington is Principal of Carrington & Carrington, Ltd (CCL). Prior to joining Carrington & Carrington, Ltd., Marian was an HR and Operations executive with Allstate Insurance Company. She is heavily focused in the firms Healthcare, Academic, and Non-Profit sectors. Marian currently serves as a board member of Howard Brown Health Center, the Midwest’s largest LGBT health and research organization, and is a CEO Member of Chicago United. She was a former President of 100 Black Women Chicago, Executive Founding Board Member and Secretary of Athena International, and former Board Member of YWCA Chicago. Additionally, Marian was a former Board Member and Committee Chairperson for the Association of Executive Search Consultants. She is a graduate Fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago and a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana.
Nelvia M. Brady, Ph.D.

Dr. Nelvia M. Brady-Hampton rejoined Carrington & Carrington, Ltd. in 2009 as Senior Vice President and manages the firm’s Memphis, TN office. Dr. Brady-Hampton has spent 15 years as Senior Vice President with Carrington & Carrington, Ltd. and has been responsible for developing and leading a major practice group in not-for-profit and education. Prior to joining Carrington & Carrington, Ltd., Dr. Brady-Hampton served as Director of Diversity and Professor of Business for Trinity Christian College after having served as the first African-American and first female Chancellor of the City Colleges of Chicago.

Nelvia earned a BA from the University of Illinois, an MS from the University of Wisconsin, and a Ph.D. from Michigan State University. She founded and served as the first President of AARP Tennessee’s newest chapter, #5449, and was appointed to the AARP Tennessee Executive Council in January 2013 as the West Grand Division Volunteer Leader, serving in these roles until December 2017. She was also Co-Founder of the Memphis & Mid-South Chapter of the Afro American Historical & Genealogical Society (AAHGS) .

Mr. Nathaniel Jackson, Jr., leads the Carrington & Carrington, Ltd. national diversity practice for the Industrial sector, and as such, is accountable for identifying new clients for middle management and senior-level executive positions, and retaining the most qualified, progressive, and talented leaders in the market today. Mr. Jackson comes to us from Parker Hannifin Corporation where he held the position of Director of Global Talent Development. He is a graduate of Western Michigan University and brings over 40 years of Human Resource and Leadership experience with skills in global and international sourcing, change management, strategy, employee relations, and succession planning.
